Charlotte FC defender Tim Ream has been selected to the starting lineup for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game, which will be played at Bank of America Stadium on July 29. This marks Ream's second MLS All-Star selection, having previously been chosen in 2011 while playing for the New York Red Bulls. He becomes Charlotte FC's second all-star pick in the club's short history, joining Patrick Agyemang, who was selected but left for Derby County before participating. The U.S. Men's National Team captain is one of five FIFA World Cup 2026 players named to the First XI, alongside Sebastian Berhalter, Son Heung-Min, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, and Lionel Messi. The complete First XI includes goalkeeper Brian Schwake, defenders Anthony Markanich, Mbokazi, and Andy Najar, midfielders Berhalter, Zavier Gozo, and Hany Mukhtar, and forwards Hugo Cuypers, Son Heung-Min, and Messi. This will be the first All-Star Game held at Bank of America Stadium. The event includes a week of soccer programming throughout Charlotte, featuring skills challenges and community events. The game will be broadcast globally in over 100 countries on MLS Season Pass through Apple TV.
